She
She makes her way onto the streets. Her lashes are fixed on. Neon pink her lipstick is. Her blush is “Sudden Dawn.” Thigh-high is the dress she wears, and high-heeled are her shoes. Her smile is forced, but unconcerned are men she can’t refuse. Her Mack Daddy will see to it she doesn’t lag behind. Her shield is he, but little kindness in him can she find. He found her a few months ago when she was all alone. He called her special. She’s just one more whore of his to own. His love and comfort were a lure to make her feel secure. Lurid acts with perverts she’s now made to endure. She’s looking hot, but she’s not what folks think her to be. Look closer; ask her questions. Only then you’ll see . . . She fled a house of violence ending up in the same scene. This “woman” folks pass judgment on is but a girl thirteen.
