He was tall, fair and always well dressed, I was young, naive and times not so stressed. Soon we were the talk of the town, In the sweetness of love, we were drowned. It was a perfect story , His sight would give me butterflies as I waited for him at the hostel entry. Our love had its ups and downs But at the end of the day, we always wanted the other one around. We convinced our parents to get us married, To live the life we had cherished!! And now after almost a decade , What a beautiful little world we have made. Our princess with us in our fairytale. Yes the days are not all rosy And nights are calm and not tossy. I love words, he prefers silence, I love being around a crowd, To him, his netflix makes more sense. He lets me be me and i know he loves to be left free And yet, the sparkle in his eyes still sweeps off me. There are still breakups and makeups But now we understand that we are grown ups. And in everyday things, our love blossoms. Sometimes I get scared of the differences, But then , love has more depth to it than just the surface. Sitting in the bus , as I write this on our 2nd euro trip. I know ,its a long way to go and we would hold on to our grips.
