Just Walk Away
... My bed is comfortable, as I lay for wanted sleep. I change positions from my mother's womb to the bum that lays on the sidewalk; letting the rays of the sun warm his face. The buzzer is yelling: wake up Wake up Wake Up WAKE UP I calm him down with a simple pat on the head, I roll to the side with my eyes open, but still not configuring my surroundings; Is this my shirt? No it's the floor mat... There's a hole in my under wear. CRUNCH...I stepped on a roach. The ritual dressing begins with perhaps in a difference in a change of shirt, and a debate of sandals or shoes, socks; preferably ones without holes. Standing in front of the closed new day, wondering if the door will open itself to show that the event will be worth while, not disappointing. But i just slowly turn the knob and open to reveal things for myself...as usual. My eyes are in a squint from the brooding sun, the birds are scavenging, braving the streets; the dreamless, nature-less, garbage filled streets. Nothing worth putting my head up for, adventure-less streets. Street that have nothing... nothing nothing nothing Wait...Something, something, something, has stopped in front of my boot covered feet. Heals...black heals, open toed, with a silver lining design. My head moves up slowly up not yet dawn with the thoughts of getting out of the heals way, not yet dawn the thought that this enchanting fairy tale might become a wolf in sheep's wool. But then my face sees a face; A bit younger than me face with blush and eyeshadow and glossed lips; lips that look like lollipops that I wouldn't mind to li- "Excuse me?" "O sorry.." And those where the only words that were needed to hear her... To hear her grab my mind and turn it to drive shivers down the skin on my back; a spineless back, cause I am still placed in awe staring at the air in front of me. I bring my sights back to the ground and just walk away Hopefully I will see those heals another day.
