NINE ELEVEN MEMORIES
NINE ELEVEN MEMORIES Like the glorious Twin Towers that fell, I fear that day, was our descent into hell. Our American values seemingly dashed. Amongst all the rubble from the fiery crash. Giant spotlghts up to the heavens glared. The rubble of the dust, filled the New York night air! The grand thing was, all the flags that we, in memory flew. Days, when Americans honored and died for the Red, White, and Blue! Do you recall, how though frightened, we all were united? We were friendly and that made us calm and most delightes! We honored our firemen, and of course, the brave, staunch, police. We were all healing and made ties with friends, found comfort, our release. Standing under the September stars, on those cool, autumn nights. Remember how your heart pounded when you heard a plane in flight? And despite this horrific attack, that occured so many decades ago. We somehow never lost our love for America again..hearts remain, in the deep, Twin Towers hole! Mayor Guiliani, kept New York City so serene and so calm. He went to hundreds of funerals, providing his human, loving balm. Soldiers went to Iraq, some, sadly, were never to return. And the JFK Memorial candle, in Arlington, forever, still burns! ~God Bless America~ 9/11/2024 @ Panagiota Romiuo
