Where Did You Go?
Feelings die, Relationships end. Fighting begins, Hopes destroyed. One fights on, The other pushes away. Love hangs on a thread, Hate consumes a day. The pain never subsides, Ignore the inner defeat. Carrying on day to day, Pretending to enjoy what we have. Remembering the past, Wanting what seems to be in reach. Running in circles, My heart in decay. Can't get you out of my mind, Wondering how it got to this point. Wondering if I'll ever get you back, You tell me it might happen. I wish my heart would leave me be, I think there's more here than you'll ever admit. Heart completely shattered, Tomorrow brings hope. If I told you tomorrow that I loved you, Can I know that you would tell me the same? How could it have got to this, We had something like never before. They say forgive and forget, but maybe it should be forgive and accept. I made a mistake and I regret it, But does that mean I lose what's important. If we start over again, Do you think the emotions will still be there? I wonder how one move can ruin an entire game, but in the end it's not up to me. If I leave it alone and let things settle, Will time truly heal all wounds? Or will you end up forgetting what we had, and leaving me in the dust.
