An Angel Born In Michigan Her personality and good looks Took her to fortune and fame On stage and the silent silver screen A longed for dream that made her name So long forgotten So long dead A beautiful fragrant blossoming Rose A heartthrob that must have driven men mad With passion and lust Potential suitors who would have proposed If they could She was so popular And became a huge movie star At the time nothing Could stop her Becoming a household the highest-paid movie star of her time A fashion icon who popularised the short cute and chic Bob hairstyle That was adopted by Louise Brookes Another one with captivating looks and Rosebud's lips Famed for her film Pandora's Box Coleen's roles were mostly silent comedy But in 1929 she made her first talkie Admired chased and kissed Her cute facial animated expressions Were both fascinating and captivating Half of her movies it's said no longer exists An astute business Lady Who amassed a fortune on the stock exchange She wrote a book about Her passion was Dolls and Dolls houses She had on public display In Chicago, it was arranged With amenities such as electricity and a working elevator All on a large scale How can such a beauty with porcelain smooth skin And such beautiful eyes Slowly age and fade and wither like a rose If only...
