What Do The Rocks Say
Luke 19: 38-40 Swift creek's rock sing out with praise Thanking God for all the beauty He has made Gray rocks weathered by water over time embraced Secrets whispered with each flow or trickle so graced Sounds from all of nature, such a gentle lullaby Spring's awakening against the sometimes gray sky Such a tranquil scene where beauty abounds Oh! The symphony of nature's elements harmoniously found What do the gray wet rocks say When humankind forgets to pray and praise Do they guggle, sing "Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow" Or "Lord Jesus, Come Quickly" to save man from each blow Do the rocks listen for the doves in spring At night when all is peaceful and quiet Enjoy the Whip-poor-will melodious tunes In war zones, what happens to the birds and flowers God help us as we this earth each day devour Destroying our planet for human power What do the rocks say as we shake their core Please, God, remove us we don't want to live here anymore
