So Far, the Wizard Has Shown Great Qualities!
I can’t find the silver lining It must buried underneath all the stones we left unturned And how are you not sober at a time like this? And how are you despondent with our ambitions on the line? And why would I try harder When I could be making strides In more important places? Why can’t I be the problem and the solution? I am the way I am, But that doesn’t mean I can’t work to change I believe in the blaze And the firestarter No one would get anywhere without a burning passion And I believe in the serpent and the lion, The fierce and the unforgivable The mysterious and the undeniable Sitting on the bench Where we counted stars and second chances It was our spirited way of saying We would try a little harder But why can’t I be the problem and the solution? I believe in the star-chasers And the ground-dwellers No one ever said You have to know what you’re dreaming for But I believe in the phoenix and the ashes, The visionaries and the silence breakers, The ground-dwellers and the star-chasers I think I could find the silver lining If I gazed up at the sky, And remembered all my second chances The only thing I need to do Is remember that I have them But no one ever said you have to know what you’re dreaming for
