Winter Sonata
Like the breathless air of twilight, As the moon softly rises and tempts the stars Into the quiet revelations, admissions Grace, splendor, magnificence… Painting the dreams with a quivering ink, Spilled upon the emptiness beneath the still, white page, Simplicity at its most stunning, gasping On the frosty stillness who erases the meager autumn, Kisses away the leaves in their crispy sorrows, Embraces the tones of winter, so tender with its sensitive, Subtle hints of yesterday moaning over the moments, Inviting the sounds of heartfelt rhythm – Whispering on the aching wings of imaginations, Who conspire to write the poetry of lovers – Destined to be defined by the music, the laughter, The tugging of a dream filled with prayers, Erasing all the nights with the moon’s gentle light Glowing faintly in the distant skies, Promising a wonder that you and I cannot fathom, Sensations so whimsical, so amazing They seem like the brilliance of a sigh, exhaled by grace, Gulped down by faith and panting with the hope… Found in love that sways through the oaks and pines, Dancing on the familiar branches, Singing with the wrens and robins, healing Fulfilling, destined to remember that love so stunning… Can never be left unaccompanied. Love this sure and reliable must be sought, By romantic hearts, Feelings blushing beneath the burden of light, Light quivering in tears, Tremulous as the distant dreams, Never fading into the shadows like summer Who feels the freedom of letting go, Just before autumn gentles the soul. On the reflections of a smile, dying despite Truth who illuminates the silhouettes Formed by hearts who hear the beating, Fragile like the question who is believing… Amorous moments, still as the cool calm of midwinter Icicle followers imagine… A prayer being prayed beside the fireside, Where trembling memories Challenge the heart to grieve for yesterday, When a lonely emotion felt whole Because someone could see beneath the dwindling gray, Into the vibrant spirit, glistening Blessing away the tears and hushing the fears, So there, in a moment… Winter’s melody became the hope, Beating out an echo, A moment just before the sunset slides, radiant Beneath the clearest hesitation When love invites a heart into the presence Winter’s sonata – a symphony of light, Prepared by the hearts who can see through the darkness, The music, the wonderful, the beauty Who rides on the still, cool air of a heart, One who knows winter is the perfect season… For lifting doubts and displacing reason, So passion abides, freely choosing – its decision To love beyond the soft kisses, Past the embrace – the singing, lyrics ringing… This is love that survives the pain, the rain… Falling quietly, stilling the breath Remembering that YES… love this real, this blessed, Is love that will forever accept, consenting… Harmonizing, even with the detached winter Who sees through the stoney, into the center… Where love remembers the delicate youth, When, in all truth – love just knew! Oh, love just knew!
