Emotional Wounds
Author Dana Redricks September 23, 2023 In the depths of our souls, where darkness resides, lie wounds unseen, where pain quietly abides. Emotional in nature, they silently endure, often misunderstood, their struggles obscure. Like fragile petals, delicate and still, emotional wounds remain hidden, until life’s tumultuous storms bring them to light, Unleashing the anguish that clouds our sight. Physical wounds may heal with time’s gentle touch, but the heart’s scars run deep, lingering as such. A gash on the skin can be tended and mend, but emotional wounds, they take years to mend. Through valleys of darkness, these wounds often tread, their weight burdensome, their presence widespread. Yet in society’s rush, they’re often dismissed, trivialized, neglected, as if they don’t exist. But they are real, oh so real, in every sense, claiming their territory with no pretense. They shape our being, whispering in our ear, as they play their part in our journey’s sphere. So let us open our hearts, extend a hand, to those with emotional wounds, who bravely withstand. For healing may be slow, but it can be found, when we offer compassion and love unbound. Let us listen, truly listen, to their tale, with empathy and kindness, may our hearts prevail. In the embrace of understanding and care, emotional wounds find solace, repair. For in the darkest valleys, where shadows loom, may we shed light on wounds, dispelling their gloom. With love as our torch, we’ll guide the way, as emotional wounds heal, day by day.
