A Chance To Meet
If only we could meet to share a cup of tea All members of Poetry Soup, a poet family There would be too many people To converse with them all The diversity of knowledge Would flow. And we would have a ball. There would be no need for music, And we would not find time to dance The magic would be in the camaraderie And wisdom, If we had the chance. To meet. People from every country, different cultures too, With different feelings and different points of view. We should embrace the differences, That gives us food for thought, Encouraging us to use our brains From information taught, From all PS poets, Who writes from their heart I consider myself to be truly blessed To be a member of a team of individuals Of whom I'll never see, That has opened their hearts and minds And generously shown it to me.
