Same Anymore Mediocre-
Things are not the same anymore-- People wash their hearts with mediocre Busted pieces spilled and cracked; Now a later point in time; Just like a candy-bar melting; Things won’t be the same anymore; People wash their hands before; Dirty feet and broken teeth; Baby crying in the crib; Doesn’t mean he can speak, lie and fib; Muddle waters; I taste, I drink; I take my bathes in the kitchen sink; My pinky toe smells like rotten eggs; On the lawn under the porch where I sleep, I lay; Things are not the same anymore; People wash their hearts with mediocre; Dirty minds and broken hearts; Mother’s and wife’s burying their sons and husbands from the crib; Urban slum ghetto ridge such an unruly way to live; Doesn’t mean justice and liberty can speak, it so do lie and fib; Things are not the same anymore; People wash their hearts with mediocre; 9/14/23 Written words by James Edward Lee Sr. 2023©
