Remembrance of Us
Into love’s open arms, you and I once did fall. Just a memory cherished, I recall it all. It’s all so vivid in my mind. Exactly like a dream, difficult to find. Your words were like a beautiful melody, I wouldn’t mind listening to them over and over again. I was so sure that you and I were meant to be, a destiny. With you, I never had to worry about any pain. The rose you gave me on Valentine’s Day, It still bloomed in my heart, never to decay. The chocolates you gave me remain untouched, The thought of you and I was still unreal, unclutched. In those lovely moments, my happiness was through the roof. But as the seasons change, you did too. A distance grew between our love, that was once true. You walked ahead, further, and not by my side. I asked if you’re okay, you said “just thinking.” Little did I know, your love for me was shrinking. Unfortunately, in the end, our love’s memory lingers, though love itself has fled.
