Wondering and Wandering
I am not lost, any more than a dandelion in the breeze. I am doing as I please, swaying like leaves atop the trees. Although I haven’t found my place to set root and stay, I get to taste the splendour of the fruit of life each day. Don’t be sad, cry or feel bad that I walk this world alone, For in my search for solid ground I know I’ll find my home. For I am not a fruit that can’t fall far from the tree, Like a bird that sings I’ve been given wings that allow me to be free. Some of us aren’t meant to fit the mould, us bold and reckless beings, We chose the freeing feeling of adventure, to see what was once unseen. Often Pain, Suffering, or Loneliness is my closest friend, Nobody understands me, But they’ll see the results in the end. When that time comes they’ll call me lucky, exciting, and brave, Because I found a way to escape the trap and not become a slave. So as you see me wander by, and wonder why I still don’t have a home. Know that he is not lost. No! He is a king, yet to find his throne.
