The Meadow of Merriment
We’re going to the river this lovely afternoon I don’t want to look like a complete baffoon We’re going to have the time of our lives every single night and day I wanted to say “what’s up” to you, but like buzzing bees, I sway away The meadow of mere merriment — I am dependable upon I rely on the shadow of excitement — I definitely rely on We’re driving to the meadow of merriment Not sure why, despite the embarrassment We’re driving to the meadow of merriment Not sure why I still cling on to resentment We’re in the process of forgiving one another I don’t want to hold on to unhealthy, unnatural habits We’re going to have the time of our lives unlike any other Even though my sheer happiness has crumbled into bits The meadow of mere merriment — I am dependable upon I rely on the shadow of excitement — I definitely rely on We’re driving to the meadow of merriment Not sure why, despite the embarrassment We’re driving to the meadow of merriment Not sure why I still cling on to resentment God, be with me God, be with me I’m falling away from Your gracious word I’m falling away because I feel so abused by absurdity I’m fluttering away from Your precious, herd I’m calling today on God’s phone of absolute liberty The meadow of mere merriment — I am dependable upon I rely on the shadow of excitement — I definitely rely on We’re driving to the meadow of merriment Not sure why, despite the embarrassment We’re driving to the meadow of merriment Not sure why I still cling on to resentmen I couldn’t hear a word you speak, so I roam I’m still listening, but the waterfall is too loud Going to the river makes me feel truly at home I’m still glistening like the afternoon sun, so proud
