Poison
How could you be so cruel? I must have been a fool To have trusted in you so The pricks and stings you've induced Will you just let my heart loose? If only for my sake I'm disillusioned and bruised, Shattered from my muse Having been hurt and deceived How could I have believed you would change? I now see you at last It was gone so fast, The facade of your soul Your wrath has spread And your anger is being fed By all these false reasons... You're distorted and fake, You don't ask, you just take Did you ever have respect? Or just selfishness and neglect To spread all around I'm shaken and confused After all that's been accused And I can only wonder why. Hatred has poisoned you As I feel it's infection too Just don't use your venom on me I'm exhausted with this And I can't say I'll miss How you've gone against all reason And I'll never again believe in What I once thought you were... Your poison has infected All those you've rejected And I'm the sickest of them all. So I've finally cut you out Can you really dare to doubt? I've made my choice And I'm raising my voice Against your poison...
