Winter Solace
across the angry sea of wild sings this lost demented child his whiplash stings with mighty blows top and bottom and way down below trapped inside it`s wrathful jaw the bitter wind is too great to ignore an arctic blast from far and wide a mate for solitudes lonesome bride darkness falls when it should be day blue has now turned to a shade of grey the fluffs of snow white now a murky brown pitter-patter echoes-such a lonely old sound gone are the stars- gone is the moon none of them in this year’s time of June when all has turned to dark, dark night All is lost even lunar bright true light imprisoned inside their deep, dark tomb beasts curl up away from all this gloom sheltered far from winds ghastly hold safe from the cruelty of ungod like scold upon this forbidding frozen shore sail boats sit-no sail-no explore seabirds have ceased their favorite song now the bitter wind has come along the oceans fury-has it`s say in the air jumps-it`s affray hear it growl-hear it roar the echoes-a hard sound to ignore the old man naked-lonely he stands reaching out with his bare withered hands but cry not-to his one true demise for time will come again-for his arise
