Tear
“From the shattered heart the streams of sorrow with the shards of dream drowned in tears flow.” – By Poet The cloud of gloom hovers over the sea of sorrow, surges in distress tempest to my mental visage, and melts to make the stream of tears to flow like the trail of rain drops on the face of foliage. With the brine condensing the pain of molten grief, the tear drops are poised on the eyelashes for a while. Like the raindrops on the edge of the leaning leaf, they slide down slowly with the dream debris pile. Down the parched crease of the pallid cheeks, cascade the silent streams of soothing solace. The touch of the serene soul the mourning mind seeks in the course of tears and in its embalming embrace. The wasteland of life is flooded by the torrent of despair, until from ruins of broken heart the new sun rises with grace, and desiccates the trail of the drops of tear, veiling the trace of sorrow for the mind to erase. ____________ April 13, 2023 Word Chosen : Tear Contest : Writing Challenge - "T" Words Sponsored by : Constance La France
