Jeanmarie's Baby, Or Why We Have No Anti-Christ, Part Iv
...“Whatever power the Devil may have is only what I left him when he fell, These anti-christ schemes are mirrors and smoke, and I deem they always will be as well. “You think that because you can knock up a girl that you can somehow bring about end times? I’m sorry, Lucy, but that’s not how it works, both the mother and this child are Mine. “Now if you’re done stomping around this room, I think Jean and I will be on our way, you have no claim on My living children, and I don’t think that she’s enjoyed her stay.” The devil opened up his mouth to scream, but in an instant all of it was gone, she found herself in a beach, on the sand, and in her arms slept a cute, little one. Her eyes widened, she looked at her stomach, it was less swollen than it had just been, Looked back to her babe, tow-headed and small, said His voice, “What are you gonna name him?” She looked over and Jesus was still there, though he dressed in modern beach attire, she said, “Wha-where am I? What has happened?” He said, “Relax, you must be so tired. “As to the where, this is green Molokai, Hawaii is so nice this time of year, and I know all of this must seem insane, so you can ask questions, while I am here.” She looked His face, and her jaw just dropped, her mind overwhelmed, moving much to slow, she said,”Was any of what happened real? Was he the Devil? To Hell did I go?” He nodded, “Yes, I’m afraid that it was, it’s been nine months since that night in the bar. But I don’t forsake those that can be saved, even if your story is quite bizzarre.” She said, “Why did you leave me there so long?” He looked at her sad and said, “I did not. I was there the whole time, steeling your mind, protecting it against Lucifer’s rot. “Without that Hell would’ve broken you down, and there’d be nothing good in you right now, no love for this son, no hope for his life, That was something I just couldn’t allow.” “But why did I have to be there at all? You could have rescued me on the first day!” He said, “What tests you will make your stronger, your sins can kill you, or turn you towards faith. “I know it may not make sense to you now, and some day, when your time comes, I’ll explain, but my plans are beyond angel or man, there is a reason for moments of pain.” She wasn’t sure what to make of all that, but had a feeling he’d expound no more, then with a bolt of fear, looked to her son, with a thought that rocked her down to the core...
