Jeanmarie's Baby, Or Why We Have No Anti-Christ, Part I
Jeanmarie knew how to enjoy herself, a regular guest at Sanderson’s Bar, it didn’t help that it was near her home, easy to walk to, she needed no car. On one Friday night, while slamming back shots, waiting for the buzz to mellow her nerves, she spotted a figure, dark and handsome, he sat at a table, gazing at her. Were he not attractive, she’d call him creep, but Hollywood didn’t have looks that good, and something magnetic lay in his eyes, if that man asked her, she knew that she would… He held off at first, but ordered her drinks, from across the room, building up slowly, then near midnight he rose and sauntered near, his Italian suit was pressed perfectly. He settled in on the stool besides hers, said, “At least there’s one beauty in this place.” She smiled and blushed, felt at his mercy, he ordered again, they picked up the pace. The man had a thousand stories to tell, some kind of naughty, but all of them fun, and every time the bartender came round Jeanmarie just waved, said, “Another one!” Before long she knew she had to have him, whispered, “You know I have a place that’s close.” The man just smiled, straightened his red tie, said, “Lovely, I’m willing…let’s say we go.” The two stumbled back to her apartment, clothes were flying off before the door closed, with animal lust they tumbled to bed, what happened next, I think everyone knows. Next morning she woke, basking in the glow, her lover stood at the end of her bed, he smiled and said, “Oh good, now you’re up, you sleep so heavy, you’d think you were dead.” The statement struck as a little bit odd, but seeing his abs, she forgot all that, said, “I think I’d like to see you again.” He said, “Hearing those words make me quite glad.” She noticed a red tinge come to his skin, and strangely his dark hair seemed to recede, he said, “You'll see plenty where we’re going, I think I chose a good vessel to breed.” Now she cocked her head, confused by his words, “What are you talking about, you sound weird?” He said, “You conceived an hour ago, and I have duties that I can’t do here.” She scoffed and proclaimed, “You are a mad man, I am not going anywhere with you.” Then wings began to unfurl from his back, and what she saw she thought couldn’t be true. It was Satan himself, in red glory, staring down with a cold strength in his eyes, he said, “You have no say in the matter, you carry my seed, that mean’s you're my bride.” CONTINUES IN PART II.
