My heart races, my legs quake as I'm pacing through this darkness: a faceless, crude, and nameless menace that threatens to consume me whole. I can only think of you, my sun, my midnight sun. My feet are weary, my eyes are bleary, and I fear dearly for my life. Fate betrays me, misfortune haunts me, destiny taunts me with a knife pressed to my throat. My vision is clear but the light is naught; how do I see? How do I shift the tides of my destiny? My fears have won, my hope undone. Is this the end, or has my story just begun?
