You are the first and the last, the great I Am, and I humbly bow down before you. You, my God, are the one that sits above the circle of the earth, who holds the oceans in the hollow of your hand, and call the stars by name. You are the creator of heaven and earth, of all things made, and I worship you. God, you are my sustainer and rescuer. When I go through rivers of difficulty you uphold me and give my soul peace. When I walk through the fire of oppression, the flames do not consume me. I am not afraid because you are always with me, and I put my trust in you. Your word is truth, and it stands forever. God, you saw my whole life stretched before you before I was conceived. You molded me in my mother’s womb and watched over me.
