Our Hurting Planet
How many look out a window And dream, dream away Without really knowing Whats happening miles away. Or even round the corner Or even round the bend Our HURTING PLANET Its natures blend. We have her spitting fire Is she angry with us all She blesses us with Everest So mighty and tall. We see her rupture violently Her belly sometimes seen She created nature Our organic living Queen. She goes through abrasive motions Grinding her sea beds Resulting in Tsunami's That sadly leave many dead. As our learning has prospered And technology has grown Its not for her to tell us We have to warn our own. The power in her weather, her characteristic charms Again its up to us, technology rings the alarms Tornado's in Tornado alley Shows she's no Aunt Sally. She has a friend that shines That sunny Orange in the sky But when it rains she's depressed Doe's it not make you wonder why?
