How Do You Feel
I feel suspicious of those who walk by And glance at me with sweet smiles As I have had poison hurled upon my face By those who would deem to tell me That my new clothes look so nice on me! I feel impatient, While waiting for what is to come I have been yearning for same Since months and their realisation Seems to be taking ages, Bidding me to feel so bored when I sit in my secret garden and smell The sweet aroma of my favourite flowers! I feel weak As my body has entered into the old age process Pushing me to adjust my routine; No more can I walk for two hours No more can I claim intense fitness Rather, I now have to take supplements And make sure I eat on time And get enough rest! I feel grateful At the many opportunities that life Has given to me Even if I wish for more so as To be the best version of what I can be! I feel calmed though At reading spiritual verses Enouncing of the many blunders That await me in this world While painting the many perfections Of the spiritual one I feel calmed And tell myself That I am an ocean; Sometimes raging, sometimes polluted, Sometimes calm and all I have to do Is to move along with the many tides That ebb through me! 21 Jan 2023
