Who I Have Been
I have taught, written, and spoken in the giant marketplace of Km. I would speak and write in Egypt's marketplaces and all around its rim. One day through the crowd and dotted stands, I peered the King's Guard making their way through the masses. It looked as though they were headed in my direction so to be sure I put on my long distant glasses. As they approached I had no feelings of guilt or fear for I know I had done nothing wrong. The guard approached slowly and said my present is earnestly requested by your majesty the King, so please come along. I was henceforth rapidly escorted to the castle in a most prestigious way. Leading me to the King, the guards were mannerly perhaps because of my head of gray. I peered the King's chambers just ahead as guards directed me to the beginning of a long flowing velvet carpet. I was so surprised at the distance the King's Guards had to travel to Kemet to arrive at my humble stand of poetry within the market. I witnessed the King motioning to me to approach as I see the Queen's gown disappear through a nearby slow-closing door. Come closer the King said with an air of secrecy in his voice which aroused my senses to the core. The King said news of your remarkable inspiring work has reached my kingdom and hidden places in my domain. In your work, the King said, I find courage, faith, unseen truths, and seeds of wisdom and much more to gain. Come even closer as he whispered in my ear and said," write poetry for my Queen, give it to me and let no one know what you have done". From that moment on the King was overjoyed with his happy Queen as her love for the King and his poetry grew but later the King sent a courier to my home saying continue cultivating my son, for the harvest is great and an incredible journey for you has begun.
