Confessions To An Ephemeral Love
Standing by the window pane My eyes, they search for you Amidst the chatter of my mates I solely wave at you. Then up you look - your chocolate orbs, Oh! how they crinkle when you smile The meek wave you return is enough for making my day bright. You are but like the gentle sea An azure land of mystery To date I cannot fathom why Your silly talk makes me want to smile. You're everything that's sweet and warm, The moon, the breeze and popcorn And what else shall I compare thee to? The bard took away the words and flew. Sitting next to you by the window when it rains Walks, ice-creams and stupid eraser games They're nothing to me but absolute joy The crewmates on a ship shouting "ahoy!" The doodles you draw on your desk I've seen. How's the tutor you mentioned been? Have you decided where to go for the summer break? There's a myriad of questions that I wish to ask But I guess I'll keep them locked, concealed in my heart. "How can someone be this adorable?" I think to myself As you make that face with your lips sucked in And how you're always sleepy and bored of everything Such little things they'll always stay cute. This little secret I won't share with the rest. Keep it safe, studded in my chest. And of all the people I've ever liked I definitely love you the best!
