I Thank You God For: a Most Amazing Imagination
i thank you God for: a most amazing imagination By Dane Smith_Johnsen in the style of ee cummings dearest and most loving God, thank i you for most an amazing imagination: for softly animal floating fluffs that a summer day amuses; and wings myself to fly there and here or stars beyond everywhere; and for dreams of day afar the heart does seize and behind pictures my eyes. (i who beneath myself, in a corner was cowered or amid table legs; this day refreshed by fantastical thoughts; free reality to escape; and for successes’ place by dreams enveloped with great satisfaction. The wonderful happy place no ill words spoken will ever be.) how should dreaming, envisioning, illusion, conceiving, thinking and supposing at all-elevate to the yes of any everything-concrete purely a continuation uncertainty invoke vagueness; reality. (now the heart of my heart paints things that are real-unreal the soul of my soul believes everything conjured, a dream.) In inspired by Michelle Nold Godleske's Tribute to E. E. Comings poetry contest. (It's a big stretch...)
