Silent Pain, Screaming
Surrounding me are flowers of all kinds, Each unique in essence, Each exquisite in fragrance Each swaying to the pulls of the wind To the best of their abilities Since, each has been shaped and sculpted To be that which it is even if it resembles The others! Yet, When they glance at me, They turn their faces away And their smiles turn into frowns When all I seek is to be rooted by their side, Being accepted for what I am! A mere member of the same family and nothing else, I walk over, each night when they sleep To the clear pond and see reflecting back My own reality; I am a mere creeper, poisonous if eaten Even if I mean no harm to anyone for All I seek is to exist And to be accepted for the way I have been created! The tears that I drop into the pond are acidic And I wish I had enough courage in me To jump in its depth and meet with death But each time, I get back on my steps And try to sleep, While waiting for a new dawn Which would allow me to hide my Agonising screaming silent pain With an arrogant smile on my face! After all, this world itself revolves while being false And we all try our best to accept it So, trying to find pure acceptance here Is definitely like trying to find a rare pearl Lost in a messy barn!
