Dark Siege
It belongs to us! But we are surrounded Let's unite against them! But massive is their power I can see chains and locks, but ignorance sets in Their colour is different from mine and so also is their weapons Of what sort are these specie of humans? In twos and threes we were chained, weeping and wailing The coming of this we never saw, as our gods are powerless Rise up gods! And fight for your people! Rise up gods! For your worshippers are in captivity! In silence the gods watched as we were besieged Shame on the gods! For they have failed Who could tell, that the gods could survive without their worshippers? Our chiefs were fools that made follies of us Though in pains and fear, an interesting journey it was Being moved by something fascinating on water for the first time The mirror made us happy and made our captivity an ease What about the umbrellas and the modern cups? They all did the same This is a siege darkened with the tears of its owners And the inhuman treatment, a dark siege We were besieged and shown the way out The way out of our native land, our home of strength But strength was gone when massive strength took over The whips were as good as food And the sound of the horses were the daily song We only worked on what was ours but never enjoyed what was worked for Many have tried and have failed Some are trying but their success is a dimlight Some will still try, of which their result we can't tell But the African soil lives on
