Unconditional
I'd greet the morning light with her heavenly kiss. Her precious smile was a fortune that I'll always miss. Everytime I'd feel like I'm caught in the abyss her sweet embrace would send my heart rains of bliss. No matter how the twists of life brought me strain she would always be there to soothe my pain. She was my cozy shelter from the pouring rain. She will always be my greatest gain. She gave me love without any condition. Even her life, she would lay without hesitation. She'd always smile for me with anticipation and shower me with grace of her devotion. How I wish I could always have her to stay when times are rough and all the skies are gray. Her sweet love is what I'll always pray when the hands of fate seem to slay. Her genuine love will always be in my heart even though, destiny made us part. May the time come, as it was from the start, that our longing souls need not be apart. November 6, 2022 Writing Challenge - Unburden A "U" - Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Constance La France
