A Note In the Wind - Nw
"the wind is blowing and the air is full with my note . . ." Quote by _ Constance oh, it has been awhile . . . since I visited your graves . . . so sorry but I keep your memory always ~ a cold, dark stone is engraved with your names your bones made into dust yet, I have written you a note . . . ~ as storms shake the ocean of my forever grief. . . and I am lost in my own words written on note papers that tremble and my hair is a flowing golden river in the wind I will read . . . ~ mom and dad . . . you are great grandparents to the sweetest angel baby girl you would love her smile ~ sorry, I was not the perfect daughter you deserved our road was rocky at times until I found my place and planted my roots but no matter you loved me mom, I planted you a garden in honor as you asked and treasure your last words in life . . . "I love you daughter" I will carry them in my "heart" forever . . . ~ my health could be better but I rise above that weeping- I admit that I feel cheated . . . by your deaths . . . oh, there is more written, much more . . . but I let the note go in the wind to drift among the graves bowing my head in tears . . . ~ ____________________ October 27, 2022 Poetry/Free Verse/A Note In The Wind-NW Copyright Protected, ID 10-1497-268-27 All Rights Reserved, 2022, Constance La France Written for the Standard contest, A Note In The Wind sponsor, Charles Messina, Judged 11/02/2022 Second Place
