What Kind of Place Was This
I cursed myself for choosing such an inn. There was a humid fog swirling all over. What could one discover what’s there beneath? Why did they choose a place one cannot see. Perhaps it was my fault as I had booked the inn A week earlier not bothering to check the place. Yet all said it was a beautiful luxuriant country. So I went for breakfast waiting for the fog to clear up. Once again, I went out onto the terrace and behold A small Medieval village appeared below the hill. Residents wore old fashioned clothes and all were busy Selling fruit, vegetables, clothes and pieces of armour. Smack in the middle of the town was a ruined castle Which I decided to explore for fun of it, but I was stopped. Two soldiers pointed lances at me and conducted me To the most luxurious hall filled with mirrors and old weapons. I was told to wait on a chair until judgement would be pronounced Time passed and from outside I head a dirge of a condemned man. This must be a farce I thought but waited patiently as night fell. Finally I got up and managed to get out of there and ran to the inn. No lights appeared below. And I was hungry no more. Next day I woke and from my window I saw the fog again. What farce was this, it was never mentioned in the brochure. Soon the fog lifted only to see an empty verdant vale. Was it a dream? I quickly packed and flew back home.
