Perfection of Sunrise
Did I ever mention the time I saw sunrise down on the beach. We had not gone home after our first date: Instead, holding hands wandering we walked nearby cliffs. Silence was profound, all was peaceful, and midnight was beyond perfection. Small pinpoints of light, from a swathe of stars created a magical moment. For hours conversation ranged back and forth, all secrets revealed. Dawn approached, we grew restless walking slowly down to the beach. Again I remember silence, enhanced by rippling waves. Also, a strange luminescence bathed the ocean, reflection of receding starlight. Together we became aware of the momentous miracle of sunrise. The horizon slowly revealed itself displaying extraordinary pallet of colour. We witnessed a glorious light show, golden fire streaking across vision. This moment is a precious memory. The miracle of sunrise continues, perhaps unseen, but ever beautiful. That special dawn rising, to my way of thinking, so many years ago had a magic that was singular. Pixabay image: Pixel2013
