Prevailing winds swept it away from me Until in time I saw its shape no more. On deeper waves I sensed it shrink in height For distance had, in me, made it seem small. Yet still it sails to shores beyond my sight With strength and poise that never changed at all. For though, to me, it dips beneath my view Above its bow it sees new lands arise.
