Time and Space
I look up, into the night sky, as I stand at the bedroom door. Telling myself not to cry, I bravely step out to the ocean's roar. A full moon, with it's golden glow, softens the darkness of night. Reflecting upon the waves below, creating a glittering light. Nature designs a beautiful view. I can see but my heart does not feel. It allows no light to filter through, shadowed memories to conceal. I have stood in this same place, many times through the years. Love lived in that time and space, now, it is filled with tears. I would feel him come up behind me, and then wrap me in his arms. One silhouette overlooking the ocean, a moment in time, beguiling charms. Bathed in the light of the moon, he whispered softly into my hair. Words of love, he would croon, of the lifetime we would share. I close my eyes and turn away. I relive this moment, but now alone. No one to touch, no words to say. Time and space, no longer my own.
