Matilde, the Envious Worm
1 Matilde is a beautiful brown worm. Always clean and well-groomed, she loves to have fun. But the worm Matilde has a big problem... By the way, she has a problem the size of the sun! 2 It all started the day she turned on the television. She saw a huge snake strolling along the park. She was jealous of the snake's size and beauty and she decided to act before it got dark. 3 - To be like a snake, I just need to eat a lot, said Matilde to her mother before running to the stove. She took the old cookbook from the cupboard and began to cook with passion and work soon throve. 4 She spent the entire day preparing cakes, pasta and bread. After eating everything she went to the mirror and them boom: she was still the same size but the little belly she had before was now a baloon! 5 Matilde's mother watched everything carefully. She sat next to her daughter and spoke with affection: - My dear daughter, may this be a lesson to you, each one has its size and each has its function. 6 Snakes, because they are big, keep mice away from the plantation, the worms dig the earth and fluff the ground. If by chance they were all the same size, the world would have a huge mess around!
