Lockdown Reflections
God is sovereign over pandemic Vanquishing miserable health-crises He knows what is best, blessing wellness-zest As His people trust His omnipotence. With God’s omniscience in nature’s event He’s not surprised with the COVID-19 Allowing such record in history Though causing community lockdown angst. God for sure knows varied government bans Cognizant of every health protocol Amidst public safety enforcement rules Giving guidance to each one who seeks Him. Here am I with freedom-propped compliance Granted with choice by faith’s ruling power Knowing that God has control above all Including my body’s well-being glow. For Florida and Texas’* situation I do commend their lockdown-free status Backed-up by data of good news’ release Even with “doing well” progressive rate. With Alberta’s* “strict limits” circumstance I can relate, since such is true with us… Restrictions are imposed as cases rise Midst vaccination-drive and booster-push. Doing my best to guard health by God’s grace I still keep on with ministerial work Knowing that these are all signs of the time Pestilence is one; this virus is proof. Then, I do my part to share the Gospel Declaring Christ as the greatest Healer Securing believers’ eternal life Against sin-virus no vaccine can cure. Thus, to God do I entrust my sure state Believing that His wise plan is perfect… While busy in His kingdom, I’m praying “Even so, come, Lord Jesus”**… That’s my hope. *https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/do-lockdowns-not-work-why-florida-and-texas-are-doing-better-than-ontario-and-alberta **Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. January 27, 2022 3rd place, "Alberta Texas Florida" Poetry Writing Contest Sponsored by Joe Maverick; judged on 2/28/2022.
