What Happens To Most Demons, Part Ii
..Dez sighed at a soft feeling when a gentle breeze brushed past his skin, it was the first soft thing he’d felt, the first wind that didn’t burn him. Far above came a subtle warmth, comforting, not the burning kind, a sun in a sky so brilliant that he laughed while shielding his eyes. And that laugh was his very first, the mere thought of it brought him joy, and why when he gazed at a woman did he feel a stirring in his loins? He hadn’t felt any of this, and struggled to make sense of it, where should he go, what should he do? The question taxed all of his wits. People passed by, ignoring him, but one paused, and stared through the crowd, then approached with a cautious look, and said, “How long have you been out?” Dez just looked lost, not sure how to react to this singular man, the fellow said, “I was a demon, born deep in the realm of the damned. “Even human, I still recognize others made by the Prince of Fear.” Dez felt sheepish for the first time, then said, “I have just arrived here.” To this the strange man smiled broad, and motioned him off to a bench, as they sat down the man declared, “There’s much you should know about them. “You’re probably really confused about all that you’re feeling now, human emotion is a rush, and much more than Satan allows. “In Hell there is no positive, just misery, depression, pain, they tortured me like they tortured you, was enough to drive me insane. “But when I was sent to this world I was as confused as you are, never felt joy, or love, or lust, I only knew torment and scars. “I didn’t know pity, compassion, or what a friend of lover were, and when all of that hits at once it can really make the mind a blur. “They call Satan ‘Prince of this World,’ but it seems ‘they’ were not correct, God made this all for His children, and to Him this world genuflects. “He is why we were made human when we were sent up to this Earth, and He is so forgiving that even demons aren’t without worth. “He gave you a chance, like He gave me, He gives it to all the Hell-born, the Man is big on redemption, so there’s no need to be forlorn. “Satan may have given your shape, but next to God he’s an insect, you now have choice, you can be saved, no Hellish noose around your neck. “What you feel can be forever yours, and if you think that this is strange, out of every hundred Satan sends, ninety-nine of us walk away. CONCLUDES IN PART III.
