Where Are You
When subtle serpent came to Eve she did not Satan’s scheme perceive. His lying words she did believe her holy heart he did deceive. From the forbidden tree she ate and gave its fruit to her soulmate. Like foolish fish he took the bait sealing for ages mankind’s fate. On wings of wind that gently blew God’s words like Cupid’s arrows flew to hearts that did not move on cue for sin had bent them out of skew. When God said, “Adam, where are you?” He knew Satan had scored a coup. “All things are open to the view, of him with whom we have to do.” God knew where the pair were hiding His searching was not for chiding but for gentle parent guiding back to place of safe abiding. Instead of admitting his sin Adam on Eve the blame did pin. “The woman you gave me for kin,” God, she it was who made me sin. From our life-source we are severed possessed by sin, in spirit dead. “Where are you” is not your address it is the state in which you live. Do you hear your maker calling? Come to me, now, stop your stalling yes, the sting of sin is galling let me end your beastly bawling. I have a plan with sin to deal the death of Christ my plan reveal. Accept my son and seal the deal let me your sick soul soothe and heal.
