His last but one film had to be edited and cut so much that he could no longer recognize himself within it. He liked to imagine he was fluid and mutable, not stuck in any roll, but an actor able to change his character at will, yet there came a time when he felt his heels deeply digging into a well worn plot, one he could not alter. A boxed in melodrama that he could not find a way out of. Stuck in an unchangeable reality; a last theater with only one exit, he began to write poetry.
