The precious moments as we danced, Your hands so fine, resting in mine, Fingers barely touching, Yet gently intertwine. The silk of your hair Caressing my face, Two birds together flying, In a timeless place. At peace in the mystery In a safe and sacred space, I could meet You in the strength Of your Feminine Grace. Our hearts beating, like an ancient drum Our bodies melt as we embrace, As we often became one. Struggling to fit the breadth of your Love Into a word or a sentence, Is like trying to capture A butterfly’s essence. You’re an open book, not easy to read, But no masks or pretence I often didn’t know how, To protect your rare innocence Even now. And your Mother and care-less Father Still blind and deaf to your needs They will never know your treasures And how easily You bleed.
