Trying, once more, to make his life less grim, freeing him, from one day of distressing. Like some guttersnipe he exists in life, at night without a place to lay his head. He's no transportation, warm home, or wife, and a cardboard box is often his bed. Each time I look into his forlorn face, without judging him, but in thought, I pause. Wondering just what put him in this place, And how he might escape poverty’s jaws.
