Simple Fun
Such simple fun was had in days of old for younger girls to spend their time each day- apart from dolls to dress and fondly hold, or make-believe tea time for fancy play. A plain backyard with ordinary dirt and length of rope to loosely swing about; no matter dresses- plain or ruffled skirt- just three of them it took to figure out how fun it was for two to hold the rope- one at each end to circle it around so third could jump up high- and also hope she'd be in time to clear it on the ground. No TV, phones, or fancy games at hand; days way back then were simple as can be. But, oh the fun jump-roping would command- this pastime kept them happy and carefree!
