Beavers and People
When all is set just right, and all necessities have been met, with confidence, I head for the door. But little do I realize that down stream, swimming to and fro, there's a little beaver doing his best to build a dam. It's then that I understand that I must be flexible, always prepared for the road ahead if ever I am to grow. I need not be the smartest apple on the tree, but certainly, I can never leave it to beaver. There are people who have been extremely endowed by God with great abilities to go with the flow. I wish that I was one of them, because I spend my time planning and preparing before I go. I pace and prance, checking here, checking there, checking everywhere I know to check. I work hard organizing and improvising, making sure all my ducks are lined up in a row. But I still must be aware of the beaver just ahead determined to block my way with his dam. That beaver neither knows me, nor does he care, but we need each other, and the two of us must do our best to share. 090321PS
