But little do I realize that down stream, swimming to and fro, there's a little beaver doing his best to build a dam. It's then that I understand that I must be flexible, always prepared for the road ahead if ever I am to grow. I need not be the smartest apple on the tree, but certainly, I can never leave it to beaver. There are people who have been extremely endowed by God with great abilities to go with the flow. I wish that I was one of them, because I spend my time planning and preparing before I go. I pace and prance, checking here, checking there, checking everywhere I know to check. I work hard organizing and improvising, making sure all my ducks are lined up in a row. But I still must be aware of the beaver just ahead determined to block my way with his dam.
