Moments of Becoming
To explore the best moments, every moment, of a story perpetually unfolding, becoming a painted canvas; "The Sea of Memory." To feel the cool spray of boys splashing grand waves against the warm bank of a muddy pond. To touch a diamond of far South Africa in the delicate design of timeless love; a golden band, a promise of fidelity. To tremble with unbidden prescience as the tears on the edge of her wizened eyes tumble into the cleft of unknown night. To laugh in the innocent abandon of a toddler chasing his first butterfly, or the quietness of his first falling snow. To breath the brief nearness of a midnight star shooting through life, a glorious brightness. To discover the intense intimacy of the love of Almighty God in my heart, like the softness of a late summer breeze uncovering treasure; the Balm of Gilead.* *Note: Balm of Gilead was a rare perfume used medicinally, that was mentioned in the Bible, and named for the region of Gilead, where it was produced. The expression stems from William Tyndale's language in the King James Bible of 1611, and has come to signify a universal cure in figurative speech.
