A Thin Girth of Harsh Stones
Our mind is overburdened, in desperate soothing need. Words may break one's bones, similar to twigs and stones. May seem defied, dissatisfied, and forced to recede. Precious stones, such as the Sapphire, have a deed. Distress and yearning are also in the field of groans. Our mind is overburdened, in desperate soothing need. While stones are severe, words are as terrible indeed. Fray words are alike swords, need threads and moans. May seem defied, dissatisfied, and forced to recede. The real mistake, however, is borne by those who deride. Words have left many marks on the minds and intones. Our mind is overburdened, in desperate soothing need. Numerous rows of marble sculpt depict our breed. Words might terrify; however, stones break bones. May seem defied, dissatisfied, and forced to recede. Only corroded stones now pay quiet praise and heed. I review the words, not the injuries and shattered bones. Our mind is overburdened, in desperate soothing need. May seem defied, dissatisfied, and forced to recede. 1st place contest win Written: August 8, 2021 A BRIAN STRAND you choose Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Brian Strand
