Mind Walking
Not asleep. Night in front of me, no stars. Dark inside my eyes, I knuckle them, sparks, beams strafe head Shoot out of nowhere to nowhere. Only now can I walk around my mind, tell it to go outside. It goes outside. Mind-walking; best way to travel, Gone 2am - the suburb is dormant apart from the bats, the occasional owls, pinhole the eyes that blink of small, restless animals Occasional owls watch out for mind-walkers. On the right side of the street there are occasional street lights. The worlds is occasional and casually unpredictable bit it all makes sense. Noting is chained down and begging to be noticed, when you look, it happens. Some porch illuminations, solar lights wilting. Fireflies flicker. Time works differently in the in and out space. Ghost time is slippery and fluid. Getting tired. Images not stabilized. Down the road there is a park, in that park there is a bench. The sky is brilliantly lit now, silver flecks and ribbons of pale gold. Hard to keep the world in one place, sometimes I forget that I am here and then find myself again – elsewhere. Laying down on the bench to watch the night sky moving like a thousand rivers. Up there, there are people I used to know, and strangely, I am there also. Weird, no walls, walls become only waterfalls to dive off. Falling through the wooden park bench. Hope not to wake up in the park, in the morning light, sight-seeing mind glazed over with dew. imagine the mattress, the pillow don’t walk around the house as a ghost half in and half out of yourself still. Not good. Someone or something will have to catch you; it could get very weird; you might even forget having been the eyesight of a million mind-walking gods.
