One Among Many
Even though I grew up in a large family, With plenty of siblings to fill a happy home. My memories tend to be more solitary, As I grew with others, yet was often alone. I knew early on I was different, from all the Others that would come & cross my way. Not just in the physical, but in my thinking, As my conclusions seemed unique in play. There were those times, of course, When the group to follow, would actually lead. But it was more frequent for me to be Beyond, looking to plant my own seed. It didn't take too long, after reflection & review, That I knew I was truly an outcast. Where my special & unique philosophy, Would guide me to discoveries real fast. This learning didn't seem too difficult, it was the Relative application to be hurdled, that often failed. And while this led to some early defeats, I wasn't Deterred until I finally prevailed. When looking for reason & fulfillment, To be measured by social value & joy. Leaving the question, did my actions create Something better, or was it just another toy? If I critique these acts and behavior, my Overall belief would be positive, not just fun. Because I think I've added to the well-being Of others, after all, it only takes one.
