Soccer was indeed my fab game looked every week to see a match ten shillings was my pocket money so it paid for all my Saturday catch Memories indeed were so full of these days in my exuberant youth love for the first time named Ruth such a lovely shape she blew me away Once upon a time growing up loved these days more than did hate despite difficulty trying to speak a word learned to let it all be left to fate (This is written looking back on my childhood showing things like music, reading, money, and love how they affected me these days. Being Scottish I better explain some words. 'Roy of the Rovers' was a soccer cartoon magazine. 'Oor Wullie' and 'The Broons' were Scottish characters cartoon published in a Sunday newspaper. 'Ten Shillings was worth what 50 pence/ 1 dollar is now.)
