Blue Hole
I had a dream, most odd and unusual. There was much color and lots of light; Most beautiful in fact, beyond any I've seen. It wasn't the light or the colors that concerned me. Rather, it was the holes I saw, out of which the lights came. Each hole was shaped differently and of varying sizes. They were circular, rectangle, square, octagon, and triangular. Each of the five holes had a different color, and each hole issued forth a different measure of light. Only in a dream would I have imagined such an awesome sight and said to myself, "Can this be right?" The colors were red, pink, purple, yellow, and blue. The blue light illumined from the circular and largest hole. As my eyes were fixated on the spellbinding sight, as if they had brains of their own, the pink and purple lights merged together and became a magenta or light plum. The red and yellow lights came together like bride and groom and turned orange. I watched intently to see what would happen to the blue light with regards to uniting with other lights, but saw no movement or merging from the blue light which exited the large circular hole. The blue light, oblivious to the coming together of the other lights, continued to shine alone. My curiosity came off the scares, and I began walking toward The Blue Hole. As if something in The Blue Hole detected my approach, I was within 20 feet from the hole when I heard a voice say, "You need not be concerned about my being alone*. I was born alone, played alone as a child, and have lived alone for more years than I can count. I work alone and have need of none. I am The Blue Hole and I am content being alone, sad, and blue. So, to you I clearly say, leave me like you found me and quickly walk away". I did walk away, but will never forget the false contentment that The Blue Hole portrayed in his voice. I felt his sadness and pain as I began to weep. And suddenly, I was wide awake from sleep and my eyes were filled with real tears! I was happy and relieved that it was just a dream, but became deeply concerned about the many people that pretend to be happy and content like The Blue Hole. However, their loneliness is as real as my tears. 051321PSCtest, Blue Hole, Anthony Biaanco. 12P *A fictitious portrayal of loneliness
